John was the technical cofounder of ThinkNear, a leader in hyper-local, mobile advertising.

ThinkNear was acquired by Telenav in the Fall of 2012. John now works there as a Director of Software Engineering where he continues to innovate on the leading edge of mobile advertising. Prior to ThinkNear, John was a Software Development Engineer and then Manager at Amazon where he developed a next generation customer targeting engine for Amazon s credit card program, grew a highly available payment service from 0-1 million requests per hour, and then owned a third party order management handling $10 billion annually. Earlier in his career, John optimized CAD software for huge data sets. John has a BMath with Honors from the University of Waterloo in press-information Systems and Software Engineering.
